Wrapping up 2018 at GB Foam
Christmas is nearly upon us and the new year is on the horizon. It’s been a fantastic year here at GB Foam and as always, we’d like to thank our wonderful customers for their continued support. We hope that this year has been kind to you all and that the next will follow suit.
An Important Reminder – Final Shipping Date For 2018
Our final shipping date for 2018 will be December 20th after that we will be closed until January 2nd, 2019. Please make sure to get your orders in before this date if you wish to receive your foam before the new year.
What We’ve Been Up To – Updating GB Foam Direct
It’s certainly been a busy year for us all at GB Foam. We’ve had the honour of offering our services for a wide variety of exciting projects. From upholstery workshops to movie sets, it never ceases to amaze us how and where our foam ends up.
This year, we’ve been able to update the GB Foam Direct website and expand upon the products we already offer. We’ve added an entire acoustic foam section to our site which has proven to be very popular. There you can find an assortment of bass taps and acoustic tiles all available in red, blue and grey.
We’ve also introduced a section on closed cell foam, particularly Plastazote LD33. This advanced polyethylene foam sees use throughout a wide range of applications including sportswear, high-impact packaging, and medical orthosis creation. We’re truly excited to see how some of you put this incredible new product to use.
Expanding Our Network
We’ve also been busy expanding our network here at GB Foam. We’re pleased to announce that we’ve joined four new associations this year. These include the Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers (AMUSF), the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP), The Furniture Ombudsman and the Furniture Industry Research Association. These new memberships will help to connect us to more like-minded individuals and will help us to further improve the services we offer.
A Brief Trip to Amsterdam
Back in May, our Directors took a trip to the beautiful city of Amsterdam. In this instance, windmill watching wasn’t on the itinerary, instead, they visited the IATP Second Annual Conference & Trade Show. 100% dedicated to the indoor trampoline park industry, the event offers the opportunity for businesses to showcase their wears and for individuals to expand their knowledge of indoor trampolining. By all accounts, a great time was had by those in attendance.
SoundFix – A Brand New Acoustic Foam Website
Expanding upon our line of acoustic foam featured here at GB Foam Direct, we’ve been hard at work creating a brand new acoustic foam website. SoundFix features a vast array of acoustic foam products in multiple styles and colours to suit your needs and tastes. The website went live in early November; it seeks to offer acoustic foam to all who require it. Whether you’re an audiophile or a complete novice, SoundFix is here to help. Why not check it out?
