GB Foam Provides Foam Props For TV & Film

It certainly is an honour to see our products being used on the big screen. When we were contacted by the team working on the 2009 Star Trek film, directed by J.J. Abrams, we were of course happy to oblige. The Starship Enterprise’s, Captain’s Chair is arguably one of the most iconic props used throughout this long running sci-fi favourite. It was quite the surprise when we were asked to “boldly go where no foam company has gone before” and personally provide the foam used in this iconic piece of sci-fi history. See for yourself, but Captain Kirk (played by Chris Pine) certainly looks comfy sat upon the foam we provided. To date Star Trek (2009) has netted a whopping $280.7 million and our foam has been viewed by millions across the galaxy…OK planet!
Foam Props for Television
Raise your hand if you’re a fan of the massively popular television show Outlander! We’re going to assume that there’s a fair few that figuratively put their hands in the air. There’s so much to love about Outlander; if you haven’t had the chance to watch it yet, make some time in your busy schedule to do so. Whilst you’re at it, pay close attention to the Christmas special. Notice the presents? The mind boggles at the array of goodies which could be located beneath the wrapping. At the risk of breaking the illusion, we’re going to let you into a secret. Those presents are actually just foam cubes covered in wrapping paper. Yes, those foam props were provided by us and it was great to see our products once again being used on the big screen.
For the parents out there, you’ll most likely be familiar with CBeebies. CBeebies is adored by younger viewers across the UK every single day. When the BBC approached us searching for foam props for CBeebies, we were more than happy to oblige. If you’ve got little ones, you may well have unknowingly seen some of our foam products in action.
