Hot Tub Floor Protector – For Swimming Pools & Spas

pool floor protector

With all the hot weather we’re having recently, nothing sounds more appealing than a quick dip in the pool or relaxing in a hot tub (with the temperature down of course).

If you have a hot tub or swimming pool in your home, chances are they’re seeing a lot of use at the moment.

Right now would be the worst time for your pool or hot tub to get damaged, right? Unfortunately, the more anything gets used, the more likely it is to break.

That’s not to say your pool or hot tub is doomed though. Here’s a simple step you can take to help protect them from damage.

Hot Tub Floor Protector Using Closed Cell Foam

If you own an inflatable hot tub, a closed cell foam floor protector is a great way to prevent base damage.

Sheets of Plastazote closed cell foam make for a great hot tub floor protector. This is because Plastazote is renowned for its tough and resilient properties.

It grants additional protection from floor debris that could otherwise damage the bottom of your hot tub.

What’s more, Plastazote is extremely water-resistant! You don’t need to worry about it getting damaged if water spills onto it.

And that’s not all! Plastazote is a fantastic thermal insulator. If you want to help retain the heat of your hot tub water during the colder months, Plastazote can help. A hot tub floor protector fashioned from closed cell foam minimises heat loss from the base.

Below, you’ll find a link to our Plastazote LD33. Sheets are available in Black or White and come in a variety of thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 50mm. Each sheet measures 200cm x 100cm.

Swimming Pool Floor Protector Using Plastazote

Just as Plastazote helps to prevent base damage in certain spas and hot tubs, the same applies to standing swimming pools.

A lot more energetic activity takes place in swimming pools than hot tubs (especially if the kids are splashing about). If you want to help prevent base damage, a pool floor protector is the best solution.

But a pool floor protector doesn’t just help to protect your pool from damage, it also helps to protect your decking or patio.

Plastazote is water resistant and has a high impact threshold. A pool floor protector made from Plastazote can withstand higher levels of force generated by your standing pool. It will also repel water that happens to spill over the rim onto it.

Without this protection in place, your decking or patio could become damaged. By purchasing a pool floor protector, you’ll be able to set up your pool in more places without having to worry about damage.

Quick Drying Outdoor Cushions

Once you’re out of your pool or hot tub, you may want to spend some time in the sun drying off. If you’ve got outdoor furniture to do so, you may want to consider upgrading the cushions to our fantastic Quick Dry reticulated foam.

This is an advanced material that retains much less water than regular foam does, in fact, it filters water throughout it somewhat like a sieve. But that’s not all!

Our Quick Dry reticulated foam is also considerably more resistant to fire than other reticulated foam available to purchase in the UK. We’ve even created a video to show the dramatic difference in burn rate. If you’d to see this video and learn more about the product please visit our dedicated reticulated foam page.
